Stadionul Municipal is a multi-purpose sports arena in Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Romania. With a capacity of 20,054 seats,[1] it is one of the largest football stadiums in Romania. The stadium was inaugurated in 1977, belongs to FC Drobeta-Turnu Severin and is used mainly for football matches. [2] It was used by the club FC U Craiova 1948 and Viitorul Pandurii T?rgu Jiu, and previously it was used by CS Turnu Severin and temporarily by Pandurii Lignitul T?rgu Jiu (2010-2011) and CS Universitatea Craiova (2016-2017).
Since January 2009, the stadium has been in the process of modernization, this involving: the change of the lawn, the rehabilitation of the stands, of the changing rooms, but also the restoration of the athletics track of the arena, as well as the nocturne.
